Markuss, a detective drama co-produced by Media Group Ukraine and and Helio Media (Latvia) is presented within the framework of the CEE Screenings 2019 on the eve of MIPCOM, the world’s largest content market. As a result of a two month selection procedure 13 scripted projects from Eastern and Central Europe have been chosen for the screening. The exclusive on-line private viewing is in progress now targeted at content buyers and motion picture, TV and digital sphere people from the world over.

Markuss – the first ever Ukrainian – Latvian TV series produced by the TV Channel Ukraine, Art Territory Production and Helio Media, a Latvian Media Company. The 8 episode detective series revolves round kidnapping. The story features Polina Klochko, a commonplace teacher from Ukraine whose son has been kidnapped straight from the kindergarten. Five years pass and she suddenly spots him in the news programme as a boy with a different name and parents living in Riga. She is trying to have him back while investigating the case. How come that the child has disappeared to turn up as legally adopted in another country.
CEE Screenings – a brand new online event aiming to promote the fiction productions coming out of Central and Eastern Europe. The 2019 event presents 13 products originating from 10 countries of East and Central Europe including those hitting the screens in the past season as well as exclusive premieres of the most ambitious projects of the new season based on original ideas and created by local talents. CEE Screenings 2019 will be held on the eve of MIPCOM, the world’s largest TV Content market, with the aim to attract international interest for the products by CEE TV industry players and increase the potential for new deals and partnerships.
