Starting this month, for the first-time content from Media Group Ukraine - the melodrama Black Flower - has become part of the catalog of one of the largest international VOD platforms – Amazon Prime Video.
Black Flower is a 4-episode melodrama produced by Fresh Production Group and commissioned by TV channel Ukraine in 2016. The main roles were played by Ivanna Sakhno, Victoria Malektorovich, Richard Lepers, Gediminas Storpirshtis, Victor Saraikin and others. The plot is based on the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, against the background of which a large love story unfolded. A graduate of the pedagogical institute Lera is sent to the city of Pripyat - to one of the most comfortable and well-equipped cities of the Soviet Union to work as a primary school teacher. It is here that she meets the love of her life - nuclear engineer Vitas, and dreams of a large family. But the events that took place in April 1986 irrevocably changed the life of the characters in the series.
Irina Chernyak, Director of Content Sales Department, Media Group Ukraine commented: «For us, this is the first experience with the largest content delivery service Amazon. The content requirements of players of this level are high, and we are very pleased that cooperation with Amazon began with a landmark project for MGU.
