Ukrainian dramas Ruby Ring and I’m On Your Side will be available on a major Indian entertainment platform MX Player. The international distributor GoQuest Media concluded an exclusive deal with MX Player to show the two TV shows by Media Group Ukraine. Both series, Ruby Ring and I’m On Your Side, enjoyed huge success on TV channel Ukraine and later were sold to many countries of the world.
Having won popularity and love of viewers all over the globe, Ruby Ring has aired in over 40 countries. It is a gripping story of two sisters, Anna and Yana, whose life changes drastically as a result of the events that reshaped their fates, and the ladies find themselves on the crossroads of life and have to become each other’s foes in their struggle for the ideal life.
The romantic criminal drama I’m On Your Side (48 x 45’) is based on the classic fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast. It is a story of Anastasia, who on one especially unlucky day accidently witnesses a murder and is dragged into the dark world of crime. The series was recently purchased by the Tanzanian television company Azam TV. It is being broadcast on its channel Azam Media in the local language in eight African countries.
Speaking of the deal, Mansi Shrivastav, MX Player’s Senior Vice President and Head of Content Acquisitions, Alliances & Syndication Department, commented, “International content is currently widespread and available in India. MX Player dubs it into local languages to attract the broad audience. After Korean and Turkish TV shows, there is a notable growth of interest to Ukrainian dramas in the country – mainly because these stories tell about ordinary people’s everyday life and their challenges and problems, which makes them appealing to viewers globally. Cooperation with GoQuest Media is yet another step towards enriching our large catalogue of the global content, which Indian viewers can watch for free.”
Jimmy George, GoQuest Media’s Sales & Acquisition Vice President, added, “We are sure the interest to content in foreign languages will only grow, as more and more streaming giants, such as MX Player, wish to present a diverse choice to their subscribers. This deal secured our confidence even more. We are happy to bring these films home, and we could not think of a better partner than MX Player.”
